Same-day sick visits
Fever, cough, infections, sprains and minor injuries, seen by a doctor who can also check your medical history — often the same day you call.
Same-day visits often available
When you wake up sick, you shouldn’t have to wait two weeks for an appointment or sit for hours in an urgent care lobby. CCHMG keeps time open every weekday for patients who need to be seen now.
A same-day visit with your own primary care team means the person treating your sore throat or sprained ankle can see your medications, allergies and past visits. That makes treatment safer, and follow-up simpler.
When to come in today
Call or text us first thing in the morning if you have a new illness or injury that isn’t an emergency. We’ll tell you whether we can see you today and what time to arrive.
When to go to the ER instead
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech), severe bleeding, or a serious head injury.

Questions patients ask
Can I get a same-day appointment in Fresno?
Usually, yes. CCHMG holds visits open each weekday for patients who are sick or hurt. Call (559) 512-7313 early in the morning for the best chance at a same-day time.
Do I need to be an existing patient for a sick visit?
No. New patients can be seen for a sick visit. Bring a photo ID and your insurance card, and we’ll complete your registration when you arrive.
Is this the same as urgent care?
It covers the same everyday illnesses and injuries, but you’re seen by a primary care team that keeps your records and follows up with you afterward.
